Drought in Southeast United States is breaking records of the driest year ever recorded. Some experts say it would take 3 straight weeks of rain to raise the water levels back to normal. Communities have started to shuttle water between lakes to try to supply the drinking water for towns. Restaurants are forced to cut back on their use of water, through their beverages and toilet facilities. Some citizens have started to harvest the rain water for their own personal use because of the drought. The fear of the wildfires in the southeast is so high that many local authorities are banning the use of luminaries.
